Data usage
Movie Calendar works without accounts or passwords. This page explains what data is used and for how long.
What we store
- The Letterboxd username you search for and the films on that public watchlist (titles, years, posters and similar film details).
- Cinema programmes collected from the cinemas' public websites.
How long we keep it
- Usernames and their watchlists are deleted automatically after 180 days without any search for that username.
- Technical logs about our own data collection are deleted after 30 days. Past showtimes are removed daily.
- Messages sent through the contact form (including the optional reply address) are deleted after a year at the latest.
What stays on your device
Your last-searched username, cinema selection and language preference are saved in your browser only, so the app opens ready to use. Clearing your browser data removes them. There are no third-party analytics, ads or tracking cookies.
Questions or removal
Want your username removed sooner than the automatic cleanup? Get in touch via the Contact link and it will be deleted.
